Recommendations
Before undergoing any procedure is good to have as much information about what to do before and after surgery. That is why we offer you the following recommendations:
1- Do not smoke, if so please abandon for at least 14 days before and 14 days after surgery.
2- Do not take aspirin for at least a week before the surgical procedure.
3- Avoid intake of vitamin E for at least one week before surgery.
4- If you are overweight, try to get as close as possible to the ideal weight.
5- If you live overseas call or write to the office a week before traveling.
6- Learn about the time required in the country for postoperative.
7- Do not hide information about your current health status to avoid delay in the investigations prior to surgery.
8- If possible we recommend that before taking a flight, have bloodwork analyzed from the viewpoint of laboratory, especially to determine whether or not you suffer from anemia.
9- Do not wear jewlery the day of surgery (earrings, piercing, chain rings, etc.).
10- Be accompanied by a relative, spouse or trusted person.
11- Do not wear metals in the hair (bobby pins, hair extensions with metal pins) and so on.
12- Ask for guidance on how to deal with the girdle that will be placed after surgery.
13- The night before surgery should eat early, preferably something light.
14- If you are hypertensive, take your medication as recommended by the cardiologist.
